All my life I have feared decisions. I have feared that I wouldn’t hear god or I would hear him wrong or even disobey. I have feared that I would mess up Gods plan for me. Why did I thing that my actions could handicap my God. His power is stronger than my decisions. Though continuous disobedience can lead to a life away from God, it doesn’t mean he won’t help you come back from disobedience. He will show you the way back onto the path he has for you. He may not have you vomited there by a whale, but he will get you there if you are willing. Sure it is easy to say just to obey, but what if you want to obey but you are unsure of what God wants you to major in or what group of friends to hang out with. You struggle to hear his voice and you don’t know what step to take. Many times God will speak and make these things clear to you in time, but I believe sometimes we are called to make some decisions on our own. We are called to step out and do what we believe is right in God’s eyes. Why do we stress over these decisions? Sure they can be life changing, BUT as long as you have God first in your life and you do every thing to glorify him, he will be exalted. It doesn’t matter what path you take. Your decisions may take you through the scenic route apposed to the straight shot, but as long as you have your goal in mind it doesn’t matter how you get there. In fact, you never know what you will encounter or who you might bless on the scenic route. You may even make a turn into a dessert. It may be hard and frustrating but you will grow stronger in your faith through this. What we must not do is sulk in our decisions but embrace them. If we sulk about the decisions we made no matter how bad they may have turned out to be, we will take our eyes of the Lord. Don’t be upset that you took the scenic route. If you sulk you won’t meet god on the journey and you won’t encounter what we has for you along this path. No matter what path we take god will work with it. Our decisions are not enough to stop god from working in our lives. Stop worrying, open your ears, open your eyes, love god, seek him first, and don’t look back.
International Standard Version
"Jesus told him, 'No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.'"

This one is awesome, becca. I really agree that we don't and we can't make the right decisions every time. but God will take the mess we make out of our lives and turn it into something beautiful. Rad.
