Build Eachother Up

Have you ever have someone give you a complement and it just made your day? It is amazing to me the glow someone can have after you tell them how pretty, kind, handsome, funny, etc... they are. Why don't we do it more. Why do we hold things back. We think they are awesome or we tell other people we think they are awesome but we don't tell them. It makes no sense. Sometimes it can be awkward to give a complement to someone, or we fell like they might find us odd. Though this may be true, shouldn't we be able to put ourselves aside for one moment to lift someone else up?

Hebrews 3:13 (New International Version)

13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.

Fw:Just a Thought...

Dont judge for you dont know where they have been in their journy. Dont boast because you have far to go in yours. Love and laugh for those are the spices of the earth. Give for it is so much better than getting. Praise him for he is worthy. Be still for he IS God. Live for what is really worth living.

My Decisions Can’t Handicap My God

All my life I have feared decisions. I have feared that I wouldn’t hear god or I would hear him wrong or even disobey. I have feared that I would mess up Gods plan for me. Why did I thing that my actions could handicap my God. His power is stronger than my decisions. Though continuous disobedience can lead to a life away from God, it doesn’t mean he won’t help you come back from disobedience. He will show you the way back onto the path he has for you. He may not have you vomited there by a whale, but he will get you there if you are willing. Sure it is easy to say just to obey, but what if you want to obey but you are unsure of what God wants you to major in or what group of friends to hang out with. You struggle to hear his voice and you don’t know what step to take. Many times God will speak and make these things clear to you in time, but I believe sometimes we are called to make some decisions on our own. We are called to step out and do what we believe is right in God’s eyes. Why do we stress over these decisions? Sure they can be life changing, BUT as long as you have God first in your life and you do every thing to glorify him, he will be exalted. It doesn’t matter what path you take. Your decisions may take you through the scenic route apposed to the straight shot, but as long as you have your goal in mind it doesn’t matter how you get there. In fact, you never know what you will encounter or who you might bless on the scenic route. You may even make a turn into a dessert. It may be hard and frustrating but you will grow stronger in your faith through this. What we must not do is sulk in our decisions but embrace them. If we sulk about the decisions we made no matter how bad they may have turned out to be, we will take our eyes of the Lord. Don’t be upset that you took the scenic route. If you sulk you won’t meet god on the journey and you won’t encounter what we has for you along this path. No matter what path we take god will work with it. Our decisions are not enough to stop god from working in our lives. Stop worrying, open your ears, open your eyes, love god, seek him first, and don’t look back.

International Standard Version
"Jesus told him, 'No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.'"

Psalm 139:17-18

"How precious to me are your thoughts, oh god! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would out number the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you"

What asspects of life can we control? Not many, but do we take full control in some places because we have no control in others? Some girls can't control life but they can control food which sometimes leads to eating disorders. This may sound silly but is their an area in your life that you control. When you feel that control slipping you start to hold tighter and then before you know it that thing that you could control now controls you. The control issue that i have to contiue to turn back over to the lord is school. I cant control friends and feeling accepted but i can make an A.... This leads to an empty place and a place where i am not trusting him. No matter what if i dont give every ounce of my being to him i feel incomplete and i always feel empty. i am only filled by him and what ever areas i keep from him are left empty. Why do i think i can handle them better any way?
