His Glory

Why are we surrounded by beauty? People, flowers, colors, acts, feelings. There are a ton of things around us filled with beauty. Such a beauty that was created by the only true beautiful one, God. He has filled out lives with a wild array of emotions and color. He has always had every intention for us to live a full life. A life warmed with love, a life tickled by laughter, a life filled with the little things like clouds in the sky and daisies at our feet, a life with a warm sun after a long winter and a crisp autumn breeze filled with leaves, a life with a white blanket of snow that can take your breath away, a life filled with the feel of summer rain soaking your skin, a life filled with his presence and the joy of his spirit, a life filled by little pieces that display his glory and splendor. Every green blade of grass and every bright colored tree frog shows the creativity and wonder of the one who created each and everyone of us. Are we not blessed to be loved and desired by this creator? Thank you Jesus

He has created the most beautiful mountains and extravagant flowers. How much more time did he spend on you? Don't believe for a second that the king doesn't find you as his beautiful, amazing child.

There is No Such Thing as Cold

There is no such thing as cold. There is only a lack of heat. I think there are things like this in our lives. Things like loneliness is just a lack of knowing God's desire to be near you or hopelessness being a lack of God's grace for you. feeling pointless is a lack of your identity in him. Doubt a lack of faith. So be filled with the king and watch his fulfillment warm your heart and soul like a warm cup of cocoa warms you. Let his spirit penetrate and touch EVERY aspect of your life and be filled by his purpose and love for you. No this may not fix everything right away. but it's because we are imperfect beings, it's not because he is not an imperfect God.

much love,
Rebecca

Just Dance

Its amazing how God changes the course of our paths. We think we are going one direction and then some thing we think is just a detour takes us to an entirely different place. Relationships broken and others formed. We think we have something figured out and then all of a sudden the earth is round. Why do we plan so much for the future that we miss the present. We forget to take a few minutes to smell the flowers and move to the music. We let this world change us. How can other people's eyes and perceptions change our actions? Seems ridiculous but we know they can. Take off the ropes that bind you and dance for joy because your king has set you free.

Build Eachother Up

Have you ever have someone give you a complement and it just made your day? It is amazing to me the glow someone can have after you tell them how pretty, kind, handsome, funny, etc... they are. Why don't we do it more. Why do we hold things back. We think they are awesome or we tell other people we think they are awesome but we don't tell them. It makes no sense. Sometimes it can be awkward to give a complement to someone, or we fell like they might find us odd. Though this may be true, shouldn't we be able to put ourselves aside for one moment to lift someone else up?

Hebrews 3:13 (New International Version)

13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.

Fw:Just a Thought...

Dont judge for you dont know where they have been in their journy. Dont boast because you have far to go in yours. Love and laugh for those are the spices of the earth. Give for it is so much better than getting. Praise him for he is worthy. Be still for he IS God. Live for what is really worth living.

My Decisions Can’t Handicap My God

All my life I have feared decisions. I have feared that I wouldn’t hear god or I would hear him wrong or even disobey. I have feared that I would mess up Gods plan for me. Why did I thing that my actions could handicap my God. His power is stronger than my decisions. Though continuous disobedience can lead to a life away from God, it doesn’t mean he won’t help you come back from disobedience. He will show you the way back onto the path he has for you. He may not have you vomited there by a whale, but he will get you there if you are willing. Sure it is easy to say just to obey, but what if you want to obey but you are unsure of what God wants you to major in or what group of friends to hang out with. You struggle to hear his voice and you don’t know what step to take. Many times God will speak and make these things clear to you in time, but I believe sometimes we are called to make some decisions on our own. We are called to step out and do what we believe is right in God’s eyes. Why do we stress over these decisions? Sure they can be life changing, BUT as long as you have God first in your life and you do every thing to glorify him, he will be exalted. It doesn’t matter what path you take. Your decisions may take you through the scenic route apposed to the straight shot, but as long as you have your goal in mind it doesn’t matter how you get there. In fact, you never know what you will encounter or who you might bless on the scenic route. You may even make a turn into a dessert. It may be hard and frustrating but you will grow stronger in your faith through this. What we must not do is sulk in our decisions but embrace them. If we sulk about the decisions we made no matter how bad they may have turned out to be, we will take our eyes of the Lord. Don’t be upset that you took the scenic route. If you sulk you won’t meet god on the journey and you won’t encounter what we has for you along this path. No matter what path we take god will work with it. Our decisions are not enough to stop god from working in our lives. Stop worrying, open your ears, open your eyes, love god, seek him first, and don’t look back.

International Standard Version
"Jesus told him, 'No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.'"

Psalm 139:17-18

"How precious to me are your thoughts, oh god! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would out number the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you"

What asspects of life can we control? Not many, but do we take full control in some places because we have no control in others? Some girls can't control life but they can control food which sometimes leads to eating disorders. This may sound silly but is their an area in your life that you control. When you feel that control slipping you start to hold tighter and then before you know it that thing that you could control now controls you. The control issue that i have to contiue to turn back over to the lord is school. I cant control friends and feeling accepted but i can make an A.... This leads to an empty place and a place where i am not trusting him. No matter what if i dont give every ounce of my being to him i feel incomplete and i always feel empty. i am only filled by him and what ever areas i keep from him are left empty. Why do i think i can handle them better any way?

Peace

The peace of our mind is like a road. When we keep our eyes on Jesus we are at peace, but when we take our eyes off the road ahead we begin to veer. The peaceful road turns into bumps and hazards. Distractions are set on the side of the road by the enemy so that we might take our eyes off the goal. When we veer from the road the enemy is ready to pounce and he hits us with all he has. Grace is what we need to get back on the road and our father extends just that. It might be hard to get back on the road. You may find yourself in a pit of mud, but with Jesus we are cleaned and made new. We are not bound by that mud. We are set FREE!

his presence

Nothing beats those days where you are filled with conviction and passion. the days where you are challeged, and your heart breaks for Gods people. All the while you are filled with his joy and grace which frees you to be his humble servent. He gives you the oppertunity to let him dwell in you!! His presence is peace and never fails to knock me to me knees in wonder of his amazing power.
